High Vor was a vernacular term to refer to the members of the Vor caste who were higher ranked socially than others being closely related either to counts or to the Emperor's family. High Vor were addressed as Lord or Lady, while the other types of Vor did not have titles beyond the name Vor itself.

Other phrases associated with types of Vor included "Rural Vor" (mentioned in Komarr) and "Old Vor" (widespread).
