Fallow Core was a high-tech fortress that was taken by siege by the Cetagandans during their invasion of Marilac. The Fourteenth Commandos had held the fortress in hope of support from home; its original commander, General Xian, had fled and been unable to return, Baneri was killed, supplies were cut off, and eventually communications were cut off as well. The fall of Fallow Core happened not by the surrender of its forces but by treachery.
Colonel Guy Tremont was the leader of the group that held the fortress. He died soon after he was taken captive and sent to Dagoola IV Top Security Prison Camp 3.
